Oklahoma State University Foundation
Grant Summary: Prescription drug abuse is Oklahoma’s fastest growing drug problem. Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences (OSU-CHS) plans to implement an innovative care delivery model, Project ECHO OSU Substance Use Disorders, to expand access of opioid treatment programs to rural Oklahomans suffering from opioid addiction. We plan to partner with the Chickasaw Nation and the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma to build capacity within their primary care providers to diagnose and treat opioid addiction through weekly scheduled telehealth video conferences.
