Grant Summary:
The High School to Healthcare Careers (H2HC) program is part of the education initiatives promoted by the Health Professions Education Consortium (HPEC), a collaboration of regional leaders in secondary education, higher education, STEM industries, and workforce development. The goal of the H2HC program is to improve the college and career readiness of local Lake County, Illinois students from disadvantaged high schools, thereby increasing the number of underrepresented minorities in the health professions and decreasing existing gaps in health care and health access in the region.
