American Lung Association in Greater Chicago

Award / $49,102

Priority / Health Innovation

Location / City of Chicago & Roseland Community Hospital in Illinois

Grant Summary

Overwhelming majority of pediatric asthma hospitalizations would be prevented if Roseland Community Hospital was able to direct uncontrolled asthmatics to preventative care. Given the urgency of new research, the opportunity to directly access children with urgent asthma issues, and the fact that the hospital doesn’t currently have a pediatric asthma clinic, the ALA of Illinois has developed this collaborative effort to that direct these children and their families to creative and critically needed clinical and preventive care by integrating other community resources.
